Why Doing Prostitution?

Youth and correctionnal intervention-prostitution

I have been studying youth and correctional intervention for 2 years. I choose this program because helping people is one of my passions. I love to learn about someone's life to understand how things that happened in the past may influence and lead to several delinquant behaviors. There are many colleges in Canada who offer this technical. The correctional intervention is a large horizon topic. In class, we learn about substance addiction, mental health, delinquency, law, victimization, prostitution and plenty other subjects. Learning about prostitution have opened my mind on the reasons and the circumstances about offering sexual services for money.

What are the reasons?

For some reasons, there are some people who are sex worker on their own choice. But obviously, for others, they got involved into this by force. With the internet technology, it is easier than never to "shop" for a sex worker. A lot of man and women doing prostitution have their own website, with charecteristics, pictures and reviews from clients.

The laws

The legality of prostitution depends on the country. It is a question of policies and optical. Some countries punish prostitutes, others punish the clients and some are totally supporting and generating some measures to make it more secure. Some countries punish the clients who buy sexual services while some prosecute sex workers.
